- Then on August 27 at 10 a.m., Wichita will hold a parade that starts at 21st and Broadway, at Nomar Square. The parade will head west to Waco, then turn south to end at 13th Street.
- After the parade, at 11 a.m., a community celebration will be held at the North High School gym. (North High is on 13th Street near Waco. It’s actual address, if you’re plugging it into your GPS, is 1437 Rochester Wichita, KS 67203.)
In case you don’t know, Nico is a boxer from Wichita who won a bronze medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. He graduated from North High in 2014. It will be fun to welcome him home and celebrate this awesome accomplishment with him.
