Wichita on the Cheap

Live the Good Life for Less & Never Miss a Deal

‘We All Eat’ Food and Nutrition Fair

The Wichita Health & Wellness Coalition is sponsoring a FREE, hands-on event to provide tips, tools, tricks, and tastings to help and inspire Wichitans eat healthfully.

The free event will be held Thursday, March 26, 2020 at the Sedgwick County Extension. THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED

We All Eat is a FREE event, but they are accepting donations of canned tuna and chicken and canned fruit (packed in juice, rather than syrup) and canned low-sodium vegetables for the Kansas Food Bank.

Over 50 various local and regional organizations will have booths set up with tips, tools, tastings, tricks, and other educational resources. K-State Research & Extension will even have a mock grocery store and Nutrition Assistants will be giving tours.

You’ll learn things like finding quality ingredients, how to shop for the best food at the grocery store, reducing sugar and salt without sacrificing flavor, local foods, and more.

Some booths will even have samples available, and they’ll have free cooking demos.

We All Eat is free and open to the public. It’s also going to be a “foodraiser” for the Kansas Food Bank, so bring some quality canned vegetables and fruit to donate.

The fair will be held at the Sedgwick County Extension building at the corner of Ridge Road and West 21st Street North from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. This is a come-and-go event, so you can attend when it’s a good time for you. For more information about We All Eat, visit the Facebook event page.
