Wichita Park and Recreation will be hosting a virtual fishing contest this Saturday, June 20, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. You can participate from wherever you are fishing and have a chance to win prizes!
The categories for entry are pretty fun:
- Biggest Fish
- Ugliest Fish
- Best-Dressed Angler
- Siblings
- Parent/Child Duo
Prize winners will get free rides at O.J. Watson Park! Winners will be announced live on Watson Park’s Facebook page and sent out in the Wichita Park and Recreation e-newsletter.
How to Enter Wichita Park & Rec’s Virtual Fishing Contest
There are three easy (ha!) steps to enter:
- Catch a fish on Saturday, June 20
- Post a public* picture on your Facebook page with the hashtag #ICTVirtualFishing before 8 p.m. on Saturday
- In the picture, hold a sign with the date and time the fish was caught AND one of the categories.
To make a photo public on Facebook – on either your phone or desktop – see the following examples:
To make a Facebook photo public on your phone, upload the photo and then look for the gray button that says “Friends.” Click it to change the privacy settings to Public.
To make a Facebook photo public on desktop, add your photo, then click on the blue button and choose “Public.”
