Veterans Get FREE Admission to Strataca for D-Day

Liberation Map, on display at Strataca. Free admission for veterans on 70th anniversary of D-DayThe 70th anniversary of D-Day is June 6, 2014, and Strataca – formerly the Underground Salt Museum – in Hutchinson, KS, is offering free admission to military veterans.

Strataca is recognizing the service of all veterans with a D-Day special. Veterans of any military service will get free admission to Strataca on D-Day, Friday, June 6, through Sunday, June 8. The Dark Ride and Train Ride are available for purchase separately.

Dark Rides and Train Rides can be purchased separately. The museum will have special exhibits related to military service during recent wars, from World War 1 through Vietnam. One of the displays is a “Liberation Map,” which was published by Carey Salt and pinpoints “First Landings of Allied Invasion Forces, June 6? plus additional battles and dates in Central Europe.
