The City of Wichita has recently put four new buses into service in its fleet, and will be giving residents the opportunity to take a ride on them for FREE this week.
The new buses get better gas mileage, have fewer maintenance costs, and have a low-floor configuration which makes them easier to board.
ONLY the new buses are free to ride. You’ll recognize them by looking for the bright yellow sign that says “Check out your new ride.”
The new city buses will be rotating through the various bus routes in Wichita this week to give everyone a chance to ride. I should be able to find out which routes the new buses will be on each day, so stay tuned on Facebook or Twitter.
