Sharing is caring!
K-State Research and Extension — Sedgwick County is bringing Three Kings Day, a Hispanic cultural awareness event, to the community to share this tradition and to display the array of richness among Hispanic cultures.
The community event will be from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022.
Three Kings Day, which is January 6 every year, is an important holiday in many Hispanic countries, celebrating the arrival of the Wise Men who brought gifts to baby Jesus and who bring gifts to the kids in countries where this holiday is traditionally celebrated.
At the event, you will experience how some Hispanic cultures celebrate this day, which helps close out the Christmas season celebration. Tables will be set up with displays representing different countries, crafts, music and games.
The Three Kings will visit and take photos with children and adults.
Children will receive a treat bag when they talk to and have their pictures taken with the Three King Men.
All ages are welcome to attend this free event, which is at the Sedgwick County Extension Center from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2022.
