Live the Good Life for Less & Never Miss a Deal

Tanganyika Wildlife Park – Pumpkins at the Park

Tanganyika Wildlife Park will host Pumpkins at the Park again this year! This spooky good time is for the entire family EVERY Saturday in October from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Get into the Fall spirit with five nights of fun. From toddlers to grandparents and everyone in between, they have something for everyone this Halloween!

Older kids and teens may like the Cage Maze of Doom or participate in the Zombie Task Force (for an additional fee). Grownup drinks will be available at the Witches Brew.

Pumpkins at the Park is a fundraiser for Tanganyika’s Winter Fund that helps them raise money to help the animals in their care and provide food for the animals.

Pumpkins at the Park Tanganyika

What a fun way to provide a donation for their conservation efforts. We’re really privileged to have something like this in the Wichita area and to visit and interact with the animals.

You will need to prepurchase your tickets online for this event. Tanganyika Director Matt Fouts told me there’s so much to do, sometimes people have a hard time getting it all done in three hours, so you’ll want to get in as soon as possible.

Most of the events at Pumpkins at the Park are geared toward younger kids (12 & under). The entire Pumpkin Trail is full of activities. They have some scarier activities for the older and the brave! This includes a Cage Maze of Doom and the Zombie Task Forces tactical laser tag experience.

New this year an Adults Only Night 0 October 20:

This year due to requests from previous years we’re hosting our first ever Adult’s Only Pumpkins Night. Join us October 20th for Pumpkins at the Park – Adult’s Only, featuring fire performers, an up-close magician, and DJ Zeb. Plus all your favorite Pumpkins at the Park features and fun.

What to Expect with Your Ticket:

Pumpkin Trail
WOW, they will have 15 tick-or-treat stations for kids. Most of them will have candy but some will have other goodies. The best part is the kids feel like they get a lot, but the parents aren’t eating it for the next month.

Ghoulish Games
Kids can play up to 3 games and receive tickets they can redeem for Halloween prizes.

Creepy Crawlers
Who wants to hold a snake?? Yes, you can interact with creepy crawlers like snakes, lizards, and birds. This would be a great photo op!

Forbidden Forrest
Walk and enjoy the character’s cool decorations

Henry’s Haunted Inflatable
All ages will love this. As they work their way through this inflatable obstacle course, they have to duck, dodge, climb, and squeeze through the obstacles inside. This is another activity great for children of all ages.

Pumpkin Patch
An event like Pumpkins at the Park would be incomplete without lots of…pumpkins! Kids of all ages can visit our Pumpkin Patch to find the perfect pumpkin (pumpkins are an additional charge).

Creepy Crafts
Our creepy crafts are always a hit with children of all ages. This a safe and fun way for children to take home more than just candy and have a “spooktacular” keepsake from their fun-filled evening.

Haunted Hay Ride
Ride through the field on a hay ride while listening to stories. This is FREE

Dr. Frank N. Stein’s Lab
The stage show runs every 20 minutes. Their resident “Mad” scientist will do a live show with mysterious experiments and potions for all ages to watch.

Waterfall Light Show with Music

This will run every 30 min. The state-of-the-art light show was created in 2013 and is the only show of its kind in the area. Last year, guests were entertained with more than six songs, including Monster Mash, Thriller, and more!

7 min Escape Rooms
This fast-paced escape room is unlike anything you have experienced. Sure, maybe you made it out of a regular escape room, maybe even multiple escape rooms. But nearly anything is possible when you have 60 minutes. Now, try to do it in just 7 minutes. On adult night—escape in time and get an adult beverage. Are you ready for the challenge?

Cage Maze of Doom
This is a steel cage maze you can walk through if you dare! They say it’s not for the faint of heart. This attraction will have some of the scariest creatures that will appear, and there is no escaping. This is recommended for teens and adults. This was added in 2011 and has become one of the most popular attractions in the park during Pumpkins in the Park.

Zombie Task Force Academy
Who doesn’t love laser tag with Zombies? This experience is using the newest laser tag equipment in Kansas. Test your skills in a 10-minute battle with other recruits.

Witches Brew for Adults

In addition to all the activities for the kids, adults can enjoy Spider Cider, Zombie Margaritas at two added bars throughout the Park, and our regular Thirsty Sloth.

Additionally, for the first time—a special evening dedicated just to adults will be held on Oct. 20th.

  • Regular Pass (ages 3 and up) $22
