Tanganyika Wildlife Park is located in Goddard, KS, just west of Wichita, and is renowned for its immersive animal encounters. Guests can have lemurs on their laps, feed giraffes, touch kangaroos, and have lorikeets land on their shoulders. Founded by wildlife breeder and importer Jim Fouts, Tanganyika has become a unique destination for animal experiences.

Starting in 2025, Tanganyika Wildlife Park will offer a more streamlined, all-inclusive format, providing all the up-close animal encounters without the lines and confusion.

Tanganyika Changes Happening in 2025:

About Tanganyika Wildlife Park’s All-Inclusive Destination

Opening in March 2025, Tanganyika Wildlife Park will offer unlimited animal feedings, unlimited food and drink, and a basic alcohol package with every admission. Attendance will be capped to reduce wait times and ensure more time with the animals.

Why are They Changing to an All-Inclusive Destination

Increased attendance has eroded the guest experience and the park’s ability to achieve its mission. By limiting admission and simplifying the product offerings, Tanganyika can focus on creating wow moments that inspire stewardship of animals.

Inspiring Conservation Through “Wow Moments”

The Fouts family and Tanganyika’s team of animal care and education experts have learned that the most effective way to conserve species is by inspiring others. This inspiration comes through “wow moments” that create lifelong memories. Another big change will be limited attendance.

Enhancing the Guest Experience

Insite about Tanganyika

With over 100 different animal species, 50 exhibits, and 500 different animals, there will still be a wide variety of species to enjoy. Watch the critically endangered mountain bongo graze, laugh as Javan langur youngsters wrestle and swing, and see one of the largest giraffe herds in the country.

Tanganyika Wildlife Park is also world-renowned as a breeding facility dedicated to the preservation of rare and endangered species. With an average of 80 animals born at the park each year, there will always be a great chance to see babies at play during your visit.

“There’s something power about touching a rhino. The rhino looking at me, me looking at it. This massive animal acknowledging that I exist. It reminds me how small and insignificant I am in a good way.” – Tanganyika Guest

Priceless Moments and Unforgettable Memories

While the monetary value of Tanganyika Wildlife Park’s offerings is impressive, the true worth lies in the priceless moments and lifelong memories created during your visit. Feeding a giraffe, getting up close with a kangaroo, or interacting with a lemur are experiences that most people only dream of. These are once-in-a-lifetime moments that you and your family will treasure forever.
