Celebrate summer and enjoy the sunset while listening to live music and eating food from local food trucks. Wichita Park & Recreation are hosting Sunset Summerfest at McAdams Park from 6-10 p.m. on June 25, 2022.
Earlier in the day, Wichita Symphony Orchestra will perform a free concert for the kids; here’s the info.
Sunset Summerfest is also sponsored by the Wichita Branch NAACP, The Community Voice newspaper, Emprise Bank and Facts Not Fear ICT. Facts Not Fear ICT is an organization whose efforts center around dispersing information about the covid vaccine in minority communities.
The bands performing this year at the Sunset Summerfest will be:
- Koool Breeeze
- N.E.W. Funk
- Merge N Traffic
- Main Mcmann & the Difference
- Manuel Hutton
- DJ Ricky Rick
Come hungry and bring a little spending cash. Several food trucks will be on hand to satisfy your appetite:
- U-Hungry TRUCK
- Kona Ice
The event is free and open to the public. Don’t forget to bring a lawn chair! (I would also bring bug spray and a bottle of water for each person in my family.)
Again, the free outdoor concert is on Saturday, June 25, from 6 p.m.-10 p.m. at McAdams Park. McAdams Park is located at
1329 E 13th St N.
This is an outdoor event so if the weather is looking iffy, check the Facebook event page before attending for any updates or cancellations.
