Sunflower Sessions summer concert series will be back again for 2019 with some great local, regional, and national performers.
The front-porch concert series will be held on Sunday afternoons at Riverside neighborhood home at the north end of Riverside Park.
The concerts are a non-profit community effort, supporting local musicians and the Wichita Parks Foundation.
A $10 suggested donation will help cover expenses, contribute to the artists who perform, and support the Parks Foundation.
So far, one Sunflower Sessions concerts has been scheduled, and the Facebook page says they are planning one per month this season.
The series kicks off for 2019 on May 5 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with Josh Hoyer & Soul Colossal Blues. [Cancelled]

On Sunday, May 19, Nicole Gordon is scheduled to perform. [This was originally scheduled for May 12, but has been rescheduled for May 19, according to their Facebook page.]
Each concert is scheduled for 4-7 p.m. on Sundays. Before you head out, you might want to double-check the Sunflower Sessions Facebook event page to make sure they haven’t had any changes or cancellations.
Bring a chair or a blanket so you’ll have someplace to sit!
