Sugar Free Allstars perform at Wichita Public Library

Sharing is caring!

Sugar Free Allstars, Oklahoma City’s Grammy-featured family funk super duo, is coming to Wichita to play for children registered in the Wichita Public Library’s 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program. The two concerts will take place Saturday Nov. 9 at the following times and locations:

10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Advanced Learning Library, 711 W. 2nd St.

2:30-3:30 p.m. at the Evergreen Branch Library, 2601 N. Arkansas

To attend the concerts, parents and caregivers are encouraged to register children for 1000 Books Before Kindergarten prior to November 9. This program encourages parents and caregivers to read 1000 books with children before they begin kindergarten.

Chris “Boom!” Wiser and Rob “Dr. Rock” Martin formed Sugar Free Allstars in 2001 after spending several years performing together in musical groups of varying styles. Since its formation, Sugar Free Allstars has garnered great critical acclaim and accolades, including mentions in Time, People and Parents magazines, reviews on About.com and Wired.com, airtime on SiriusXM radio’s Kid’s Place Live and received the Parent’s Choice Silver award.

The group’s educational songs have been performed at elementary schools and library programs across America. They are listed on the Oklahoma Arts Council’s Touring Roster as well as the Mid-America Arts Alliance’s Artist Registry. Visit www.sugarfreeallstars.com to learn more.
