The Kansas State Research and Extension is offering an eight-week class for seniors that focuses on strength building. The Stay Strong Stay Healthy classes will begin October 16 and the registration fee is only $20.
The program is based on simple exercises that improve balance, health, and state-of-mind. Everyone who participates will start at a level that’s right for them, and no one is too inactive to participate. Adults of all fitness levels are encouraged to participate.
Building strength promotes quality of life and independence, especially for adults over age 60.
Classes will be held at the La Familia Senior Community Center two times per week and led by K-State Research and Extension instructors. To find out more or to register, visit their website here and fill out the form on that page. You can pay online or by check.
