Spring Break at Exploration Place: Slam Dunk Edventures

Exploration-Place-WichitaExploration Place will have a full week of spring break “Edventures” for kids in Kindergarten through 8th grade. What’s even better is that you can get a special discount if you register your child for any 3 or all 5 sessions.

The Spring Break Slam Dunk Edventures will feature a different theme each day. Each session is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Before- and after-care is available for an additional fee. You can send a lunch with your child or order a box lunch through the program.

Each day’s Edventure is $35 ($30 for EP members); a package of any 3 Edventures costs only $95 ($80 for members); a package of all 5 Edventures costs only $140 ($125 for members).

Play Ball • Monday, March 17

Zoom • Tuesday, March 18
How can humans go fast without the use of motors? Discover the physics of friction, measure your speed, and experiment with how to power a skateboard.

Mind Over Muscle • Wednesday, March 19
Math needs brain power – keep your brain sharp with number games! Exercise the strongest muscle in your body through a series of mind games, physical challenges, and mysteries that will test your mental fortitude.

Up and Over • Thursday, March 20
What goes up must come down, including basketballs and heavy things. Design and build contraptions to keep things lifted, and investigate how much mass a human muscle can hold and for how long.

Head to Head • Friday, March 21
There is a sport out there for everyone, but do you have what it takes to make up your own? Unleash your secret math skills by designing different equipment, shooting a ball from a different angle, and testing the games of others.
