Way cool! Here’s another great SPRING BREAK deal for you. Old Cowtown Museum is giving kids 12 and younger FREE admission with a paying adult during spring break.
I asked and the deal is good for one paying adult and their kids (plural) 12 and under, so you can bring the whole family. On an interview with Good Day Kansas, Jacky Goerzen, Cowtown’s executive director, says that they’ll have fun activities for the kids – a version of the school program they have called “Daily Life.” So they’ll have some hands-on activities for the kids like laundry and butter-churning.
Some of the other activities kids might see going on are the blacksmith working, the printing press, and of course, the gunfights that Cowtown is famous for.
I put together a little video slideshow showing some of the fun things we’ve seen or done at Cowtown over the years.
Adult admission to Cowtown is only $9. Usually kids 12 and under get in for $6 a piece, so this is a fun, terrific and inexpensive way to enjoy Wichita with the kids this spring break!
Wichita kids are out for spring break beginning March 11, but Cowtown is closed on Mondays this time of year, so this deal is March 12-16. (That’s Tuesday through Saturday.)
Now all we need is some great weather! (Cowtown has plenty of indoor activities if needed.)
