CYT Wichita will perform The Sound of Music this month at Isley Traditional Magnet Elementary School. You can get a discount on tickets by purchasing online in advance.
The Sound of Music is one of the most beloved Rogers and Hammerstein musicals of all time. Maria Rainer, a free-spirited nun is sent to be a governess to seven children of Captain Von Trapp. Maria’s love of music and of life, soon endears her to the children and even the strict of Captain begins to deeply admire her. From the open-hearted innocence of the title tune to the uplift of “Climb Every Mountain” to the folk simplicity of “Edelweiss” to the charm of “Do-Re-Mi” and “My Favourite Things,” The Sound of Music continues to delight families with its memorable story and music.
There will be five performances of the musical:
- Oct 23 & 24 at 7:00 pm
- Oct 25 at 2:00 & 7:00 pm
- School Show on Friday, Oct 24 at 10:00 am ($6 each for 15 or more tickets)
