Wichita on the Cheap

Live the Good Life for Less & Never Miss a Deal

Free Show-N-Shine car show at WSU

Wild rides and old rides once again will be the focus of the 23rd annual Show N’ Shine Car Show.  The event will take place on Sunday, September 17, from noon until 4 p.m. in the parking lot at Wichita State University located at 21st and Hillside. Once again there will be specialty vehicles from various law enforcement agencies.

The show is free to the public, and anyone who would like to enter a vehicle in the show may do so for a $15 registration fee. There will be a number of trophies awarded to winning vehicles, and prizes will be given away throughout the show.  The first 100 entries will receive a commemorative dash plate and a chance to win a door prize.  Trophies will be awarded in the classic and modern car, truck and motorcycle categories.  A new muscle modern class has been added. All proceeds earned from the show will be donated to Make-A-Wish Kansas.

Those sponsoring the event include Wichita Police Department, Rand Graphics, Dent Rangers, Advance Audio, Hampel Oil, Northend Auto, and The Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5.

If you would like to enter a vehicle in the car show, you can register on the day of the show. For updates and more information, visit the Make-A-Wish event on Facebook.
