Yup, it’s happening. The Sedgwick County Fair organizers announced we’re having a fair this year. And they’ll have free live music on their open-air stage, too! Admission to the county fair is FREE. (Yes, free!). They do have a Ranch Rodeo and Demo Derby that costs to attend, and if you want to ride some rides, you need to purchase tickets. However, attending the fair and a handful of activities are free.
The Sedgwick County Fair is an annual event that is always lots of fun. The fair is held just down the road west of Wichita at the Sedgwick County Fairgrounds in Cheney, Kansas.
Admission is free and parking is free too!
The Sedgwick County Fair is a nice example of an old-fashioned county fair. Its “just-right” size means that you can enjoy the animals, the quilts, live music, and other exhibits with the kids.
I highly recommend it for a fun family outing.
Among the free events are a horse show, goat show, rabbit competition, bake sale, the Sedgwick County Fair parade, lots of animal exhibits, a children’s petting zoo, free live music on the outdoor stage, often a quilt show and/or vendor fair, an arts and crafts competition, and more!
This year, they have an awesome lineup of FREE live music every night at the Open Air Stage.
You’ll only need tickets for events like the Ranch Rodeo, the Demolition Derby, and of course the carnival, which runs throughout the fair.
Usually, you can get a 20% discount on “Ride All The Rides” armbands if purchased before the Fair. Otherwise, you’ll pay the regular price for an all-day carnival ride bracelet.
And of course the fair’s got “fair food,” which is fun to eat, if expensive. (But admission is zero dollars, so there’s maybe an argument to be made for buying snacks and meals while you’re at the fair!)

Hello, I read that there will be a monster truck event but when I go to the site(our county.com it only gives me the option to buy demolition derby or the concert tickets. Can you help me get to where I can purchase the monster truck tickets.
