Wichita Audubon and the Great Plains Nature Center offer an informal look at the birds of Chisholm Creek Park on the Second Saturday Bird Walks.
These are free, casual walks – no birding experience is necessary. Just lace up your sneakers, bring your binoculars, and meet at the main (east) parking lot of the GPNC at 8 a.m. on the dates listed below.
Expect one to two miles of walking on paved paths; each walk lasts approximately 90 minutes.
This is a great opportunity to spend time outside, get some exercise, learn about nature, and meet others in Wichita looking to do the same.
Since this is an outdoor activity, there is a possibility that weather conditions might cause a delay or cancellation, so be sure to check Wichita Audubon Society website for updates.

(Note: In May the Wichita Audubon Society is spending Second Saturday on a Warbler Walk at Oak Park. The warblers are migrating at that time of year, and Oak Park is a good place to find them. Meet by the pond at the north end of the park at 9 a.m.)
