Last year on the first day of school I slipped a note into my child’s backpack with doodles and phrases like, “Star Student!” I didn’t really expect it to make all that much of an impact, but I knew it would be a warm reminder of home. Well, that same note has held various special places of honor at school and at home and I think it’s still floating around here somewhere a year later. I’ll definitely do something similar this year.
The Post-It Note version is also a good idea, and it’s cheap–especially with the coupon. 🙂
