If you’ve been thinking of signing up for Amazon Prime membership, you might want to do that today. The service, which provides free 2-day shipping on eligible items, free unlimited streaming of movies and TV, and a Kindle book lending library, will go from $79 to $99 this week.
This is the first price hike on the service since it began nine years ago.
Existing Prime members will pay $99 per year on their annual renewal date and Amazon Student members will pay $49.
