The United States Postal Service will raise the price of first-class stamps to 45¢ on Sunday, January 22, 2012.
The good news is that if you just bought a giant roll of “Forever” stamps, you won’t have to go out and buy a roll of 1-penny stamps — they’re called Forever stamps because they’re still good after a postage-rate hike.
Postcard stamps, which are currently 29¢, will go up three cents to 32¢. Read more about the rate increase at the USPS website.
Thanks to Budget Savvy Diva for the reminder to go buy stamps! 🙂
