This is a must-see local show – and it’s free!
Wichita has a talented group of local performers who put on an amazing show combining dance and movement with fire. The group, called Phlox, will be performing regularly throughout the season – weather permitting – in Old Town Square.
Whatever time the show is scheduled to start, get there early so you can get a good spot. It really does get crowded on these final Friday nights. That’s because this is a fun sight to see in Wichita.
The group dances with flaming poi, staves, hoola hoops, swords, and more. It’s quite a production, and one you really won’t want to miss.

Final Friday with Phlox is a kid-friendly and family friendly event – just make sure the little ones don’t run out into the area where they’re dancing with open flames.
Show up at dusk to be amazed by the dazzling display of fire, LED, and dance!
Admission is free but it’s a great idea to tip (and cheer for!) the performers.
NEXT PERFORMANCE: Friday, May 27, 2022 at 7 p.m.
Since this is an outdoor event, it’s dependent on good weather. Find out if there are any schedule changes at the Final Friday with Phlox Facebook page.
