The Ulrich Museum of Art on the Wichita State University campus will install a new sculpture on Tuesday, August 4.
The new sculpture, Alice Aycock’s Twister Grande (tall), is the newest piece in the world-class Martin H. Bush Outdoor Sculpture Collection.
The installation is free and open to the public and will begin at 8 a.m. UPDATE: The installation will be delayed until after 10 a.m. Check the Ulrich’s Facebook page or Twitter account for the latest updates.
Light refreshments and seating will be provided. Safe practices and protocols will be in place, including requiring masks and encouraging distancing of guests.
Twister Grande (tall) will be the first of the 81 pieces in the collection to be installed on WSU’s Innovation Campus.
To find the proceedings, enter campus from 18th street off of Oliver and drive west towards the Airbus and the John Bardo Center. Park on the east end of the marked parking lot.
