BBQ pitmasters from across the region will be coming in for the 2nd annual National Bar-B-Que competition and community event in Derby, KS, Friday and Saturday, September 7-8, 2012.
The two days of fun will include live entertainment from the Diamond W Wranglers, Good ‘n Greasy, and Annie Up, a car show, children’s area, military vehicles on display, a military drill demo, and running events.
A $5 ticket will let you sample five pulled pork selections from competitors. Food vendors will also have frozen lemonade, sandwiches, beer, and homemade ice cream for sale.
According to the event website, the fun starts Friday at 5 p.m. and with race registration at 7 a.m. on Saturday, although most Saturday activities open at 10 a.m.
Tasting tickets will be on sale Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the BBQ area.
