The Miró mosaic, Personnages Oiseaux (Bird People), was removed for restoration from the wall of the Ulrich Museum in 2011 and is now being reinstalled. To celebrate the return of the iconic mural, the Ulrich is hosting a community celebration and block party on Sunday, October 30, 2016.
The event is free and open to the public. The block party will include performances from the College of Fine Arts in dance and music, gypsy-jazz and swing by Nouveau Quintet, hands-on art provided by Arts Partners artists, complimentary refreshments, and more fun. A mini food truck rally will be set up off of 17th Street for additional food and beverage purchases.
