Meritrust Virtual Financial Camp for students

For more than a decade, Meritrust has offered free financial camps every summer for kids in the community that were open to the public. The goal of the camps are to help students become Financially Fearless as they grow and move into adulthood. (How important is that?!)

Over the years, the camps have helped teach more than 400 kids per summer lessons on budgeting, money management, and other financial literacy lessons. But the in-person camp scheduled for earlier this summer had to be canceled, so Meritrust produced a video series covering some of the same topics.

Virtual Financial Boot Camp for kids from Meritrust Credit Union

The new virtual Financial Boot Camp offers money management lessons for youth that they can learn from the comfort of home.

Videos include topics like Money & Choices, Budgeting, Goal Setting, Wise Spending (that’s what we like to talk about!), Careers, and more.

The website where you can find the lessons is www.meritrustcu.org/home/site/financial-camp

The virtual financial camp can be accessed at any time and is open to anyone, although they are targeted to middle- and high-school age students.

The series features Meritrust’s Director of Financial Education Chris Wolgamott and the Meritrust Financial Education team.

The online Financial Boot Camp is FREE. How wise is that?
