Considering getting a dog to add to the family? The Wichita Kennel Club is hosting a FREE “Meet the Breeds” event this weekend at Century II.
Members of several local dog, kennel and training clubs will be on hand with their dogs to answer questions and help visitors decide which dog breed is right for their individual households.
This is important whether you’re buying a pup from a breeder or even searching for one to adopt from a local shelter. You’ll want to get a good idea of what you can expect from a breed before you get it so that the relationship can be a long and happy one!
Here’s more information from the event organizers:
This event is for dog lovers, dog enthusiasts, really anyone interested in coming and meeting some purebred dogs.
It’s especially helpful for anyone who thinks they might want to add a Canine Companion in the next year – you can meet many breeds in person and put hands on.
You can also talk to owners and breeders who can answer all those quirky questions, tell you the pros AND the cons of a breed, and so much more!
Meet the Breeds will be held in the foyer of Century II Concert Hall from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, September 1, 2018.
Date Saturday, September 1, 2018
Time 12-4 p.m.
Location Century II Concert Hall foyer, 225 W Douglas Ave Wichita, KS 67202
Cost FREE
