Mark Arts in East Wichita regularly features free art exhibitions that are open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and they offer a wide variety of classes for youth and adults.
Visiting the museum is fun and free in Wichita, or consider picking up a new hobby by taking a class. Whether you’re interested in painting, sculpture, photography, or cooking, Mark Arts offers something for everyone to explore and enjoy.

Adult Classes and Workshops: Adults can explore various mediums through weekly classes and specialized workshops, including:
- Ceramics: Hand-building and wheel-throwing techniques.
- Drawing, Photography & Printmaking: Fundamentals to advanced techniques.
- Enameling, Jewelry & Metalsmithing: Crafting unique pieces.
- Painting, Digital Art & Mixed Media: Exploring different styles and mediums.
- Sculpture: Creating three-dimensional art.
- Culinary Arts: Interactive cooking workshops.
Youth Classes and STEAM Academy: Mark Arts provides enriching programs for young artists, including:
- Weekly Art Classes: Covering drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, and more.
- STEAM Academy: Integrating art with science, technology, engineering, and math concepts.
These programs are designed to nurture creativity and critical thinking.
The Mark Arts Scholarship Fund
Provides youth and adults with financial need the opportunity to participate in studio classes, camps, and workshops. A limited number of art scholarships is available for each camp, class and workshop. Scholarship applications will be evaluated by Mark Arts staff two weeks prior to each class session. The CEO of Mark Arts has the authority to grant scholarships in accordance with this policy. These scholarships are made possible through the generosity of many contributors.
Mark Arts Speical Events
Art Together – Every Second Saturday of the Month. FREE to attend.
Concerts at the Corner – Fall
During the concert, guests can stroll through Mark Arts’ outdoor sculpture garden, and enjoy a special menu, the Xclusive mobile bar, and kids’ activities.
Crave – Fall
This five-day festival features an artistic fusion of food and friends benefiting Mark Arts. A variety of culinary and libation workshops will be held Tuesday through Thursday evenings featuring local culinary experts.

About Mark Arts in Wichita
Mark Arts’ permanent collection is rotated in small exhibits throughout the year so you’ll always get to see something new. The collection’s strengths are American decorative arts, printmaking, and art of the Midwest. Special lectures and family day events are also held throughout the year.
The Mary R Koch Arts Center is one of the oldest visual arts organizations in the Wichita area. It was founded as the Wichita Art Association in 1920 to make art and arts education available to those living in our area.
Mark Arts building is at the corner of Rock Road and E. 13th St. N in Wichita, was completed in December 2017. The facility includes a 5000 square-foot main gallery, other exhibition spaces, and nine studios for art instruction. The venue can be rented for special events.
Mark Arts also offers art classes and workshops for kids, teens, and adults.
Fun Fact: I was the Education Director at Mark Arts for 8 years and taught some classes.
