The Wichita-Sedgwick County Historical Museum will host a live performance by electric Hawaiin guitarist George Piburn on Saturday, November 13 from 1-2 p.m. as part of its Electric Guitar exhibit. Following the performance will be an illustrated lecture by Deke Dickerson from 2-3 p.m. Both the performance and the lecture are included in the price of museum admission. You’ll also be able to browse the museum’s electric guitar displays. (Did you know the first public performance of an electric guitar was here in Wichita?)
Adult admission to the museum is only $4; children ages 6-12 pay only $2; children under 6 are free. The museum is located at 204 S. Main Street in Wichita.
