Sharing is caring!
Little Explorers is a sweet, low-key way for Wichita Families with toddlers and preschoolers to enjoy the Museum of World Treasures without the crowds or overwhelm. This event is held on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month and is designed for children ages 2–5. This relaxed, play-based program takes place during a quieter morning hour, making it especially friendly for first Museum Visits.
Each Little Explorers session invites young learners and their grown-ups to explore the museum together through simple activities, hands-on play, and shared stories. It is structured enough to feel special, but flexible enough for kids who like to move, explore, and take things at their own pace.

Families can expect a themed craft activity, free play time in Ivan’s Playhouse, and a cozy storytime during the final 15 minutes of the program. It is the kind of morning that feels productive and fun without being exhausting, which is a win for both kids and parents.
For local families trying to live the good life for less, this is also a great value. Children five and under are free, and admission for adults or older siblings is just $7. Programs like this are exactly why museums are such a great option for affordable, meaningful outings in Wichita, especially during the school year when routines matter.
Little Explorers is held every second and fourth Thursday of the month, making it easy to plan ahead and turn it into a regular tradition.
