The annual KPTS Skate with 8 party will be held Sunday, January 27, 2013 at the Wichita Ice Center. Kids are going to have a great time skating and meeting their favorite characters (Clifford, Wyatt from Super Why, Curious George, and Troubles the Clown will all be there). There will also be face-painting, balloons, photo ops with the characters, and other entertainment.
The event is from noon to 4 p.m. Skate with 8 is a book drive that KPTS has done for the past four years.
Kids who bring a NEW book to the drive will skate free and get free skate rental too. Adults who bring a NEW book to donate will also get free skate rental, but they’ll pay a $6 admission fee.
The books will go to local charitable organizations. You can bring books for children or for adults – it should just be a new book.
The Wichita Ice Center is at 505 West Maple.
