Wichita’s local National Hot Rod Association drag strip is opening for the 2018 season in March with an event that has affordable carload pricing.
On Saturday, March 10, they’ll have a “test and tune” event with racing action from noon until 6 p.m. Admission for spectators is only $10 per carload, and kids 12 and under get in FREE.
Test and Tune is an opportunity for everyone to race their own car, whether it is a daily driver or a full-blown race car. (I know some people who will be excited about that!) If you want to actually race your car, you need a valid drivers license and to pay the $25 entry fee.
Gates open at 11 a.m.
The Kansas International Dragway racing strip is just north of Wichita at 7800 W. 61st Street N. in Maize, Kansas. For more info, visit their website.
