This Sunday, Kansas Aviation Museum is celebrating its birthday with FREE admission!

On Sunday, April 19, 2026, the museum will celebrate 35 years of preserving the heritage of aviation in our city and state.
This is a great opportunity to visit, see the building, see all the planes, hear the stories and learn the history that is unique to Wichita. They also promise to reveal some surprises about what is to come in the future.
The building itself, an Art Deco gem from the 1930s, is part of the experience and part of aviation history. The original Wichita Municipal Airport Terminal saw Charles Lindbergh, Amelia Earhart, Fred Astaire, and Howard Hughes walk through its doors. Legend has it Astaire even danced in the atrium while waiting for a flight.
