Gotta love those classes from the Wichita Department of Parks and Recreation. At locations all over town, the Rec. centers offer classes on topics as diverse as Art and Photography, Parenting, Sports and Fitness, Finances, and Foreign Language. Some of the locations also offer walking groups, which appear to be free (since no prices are listed). Most classes are cheap, although a few at City Arts and the Ice Center are a bit pricier.
Registration started Wednesday, December 2, for classes beginning January 4. If you missed the circular that is usually delivered to your home, you can download the Winter 2010 schedule from the Parks and Recreation website. (CityArts classes are listed at www.wichitaarts.com.)
