Join the naturalists at the Great Plains Nature Center for a howling good evening of Halloween fun and FREE activities!
Howl-loween is Saturday, October 19, 2019 from 4-7 p.m. at the Great Plains Nature Center which is located at 6232 E. 29th St. N., Wichita, KS 67220.
This year they’re taking the event OUTSIDE! It’s open to all ages, and they suggest a donation of $1 per person for entry to help with the cost of candy.
They’ll have a costume contest, spook-tacular activities, and of course trick-or-treating!
Here’s the Great Plains Nature Center’s description of this year’s Howl-loween event:
“This year, we’re taking Howl-loween outside!
Walk the 1/2 mile Quail Trail loop, bring your basket, and prepare to be awe-struck by our beautiful creepy-crawly Kansas arthropods while you trick-or-treat. Spiders, insects, centipedes, scorpions, oh my!
Wear your favorite costume for our costume contest, enjoy the dusk air, encounter spineless Kansas critters, and enjoy candy and festive activities.
There’s a suggested $1 donation per person for entry with this event (so we can give out all of the candy) and it’s great for all ages!”
