Homeschool Learning Hub Classes in Wichita

Here are some fun homeschool classes for the Wichita community in 2024 presented by Wichita Parks and Recreation. These resources are fantastic for anyone who wants to learn and incorporate something new into their homeschool journey.

Homeschool Learning Hubs provides a fun educational experience with crafts, physical education, a culinary class, and STEM projects. Learn with us on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.! The maximum number of kids per class is 12. These Homeschool activities are for ages 6 – 12. 

Come to every class during the nine weeks or pick the best dates with your schedule. Registration is required for each class; the fee is $19 per child.

March 19 

  • 10am: Arts & Crafts – Paper Snowflakes
  • 11am: Physical Education – Obstacle Course
  • 12pm: Culinary: Lunch – bring your own lunch,  Food & Kitchen Basics (educational talk with focus on safety and skill building)
  • 1pm: STEM – Make Your Own Ice Cream

March 26 

  • 10am: Arts & Crafts – Fingerprint Scenes
  • 11am: Physical Education – Balloon Sports
  • 12pm: Culinary: Cheesy Quesadillas
  • 1pm: STEM – Printing Colorful Patterns

April 2 

  • 10am: Arts & Crafts – Paper Plate Fish
  • 11am: Physical Education – Freeze Dance & GoNoodle Videos
  • 12pm: Culinary: Silly Spaghetti Cups
  • 1pm: STEM – Charm a Snake/Fly a Kite

April 9 

  • 10am: Arts & Crafts – Sticker Collages
  • 11am: Physical Education – Take-a-Chance Fitness Moves
  • 12pm: Culinary:  Lunch – bring your own lunch,  Food & Kitchen Basics (educational talk with focus on safety and skill building)
  • 1pm: STEM – Making Rainbows

April 16 

  • 10am: Arts & Crafts – Fuse Bead Art
  • 11am: Physical Education – Animal Moves & 4 Corners
  • 12pm: Lunch – Tortellini Skewers 
  • 1pm: STEM – Flower Science

April 23

  • 10 am: Arts & Crafts – Make an Animal
  • 11am: Physical Education – Kids Yoga
  • 12pm: Culinary: Mini Nachos
  • 1pm: STEM – 2 Types of Volcanoes

April 30 

  • 10am: Arts & Craft – Making Mandalas
  • 11am: Physical Education – Pick-Your-Path Fitness Challenge
  • 12pm: Culinary: Lunch – bring your own lunch,  Food & Kitchen Basics (educational talk with focus on safety and skill building)
  • 1pm: STEM – Grow a Stalactite

May 7 

  • 10am: Arts & Crafts – TP bugs
  • 11am: Physical Education – Rock, paper, scissors hoop race and floor is lava
  • 12pm: Culinary: Rainbow spirals (education talk with focus on safety and skill building) 
  • 1pm: STEM – Calming density bottles 

May 14

  • 10am: Arts & Crafts – Paper Weather
  • 11am: Physical Education – How do You Hopscotch?
  • 12pm: Culinary: Chicken Salad Dippers
  • 1pm: STEM – Mix & Spin Colors
