Half-price Admission and Free Educational Art Programs at Rolling Hills Wildlife Museum

On Sunday, October 3rd, husband and wife miniature artists Wes and Rachelle Siegrist will be holding free educational art programs at Rolling Hills Wildlife Adventure in Salina during a special Meet The Artists event.

Kids can learn how to draw animals in miniature using colored pencils to make a Christmas ornament. The first session, for kids ages 5-10, will be held from 1-2 p.m. and the second session, for kids ages 11-14, will be from 2:30-3:30 p.m. There’s no fee for the children’s class, but you do need to call ahead to reserve a spot: 785-827-9488, ext. 117.

At 4 p.m. in the Conference Center Ballroom, Wes and Rachel will give a free talk on the history of miniature art, and from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. you can join them for a Gallery Walk and find out more about their techniques, influences, and paintings.

The Siegrists’ exhibit, The World of Nature in Miniature, will be on display in the Wildlife Museum. Wes and Rachelle will also be available between programs for signing of their books, Exquisite Miniatures, and The World of Nature in Miniature.

Admission to the Rolling Hills Wildlife Museum will be half price for this event, Sunday October 3rd, 2010.
