The Great Plains Woodcarvers organization will be holding its annual anniversary show and sale at Cessna Activity Center on October 5 and 6, 2019.
The show brings together both local wood carvers and top carvers from the Midwest, including members of the Caricature Carvers of America, for a 2-day show and sale. It includes a judged carving competition and beautiful original, handcrafted woodcarvings, woodturnings, and sculptures.
They’ll also have commercial vendors there and woodcarving supplies available for sale during the show.
The carving contest is on Sunday afternoon, where carvers will show off their skills and compete for prizes in the one-hour contest!
The show is open to the public. Admission is only $4 per adult, and there’s an ad in the Wichita Eagle that will get you $1 off the admission price. Children under 12 get in free when accompanied by a paying adult! Parking is free.
Date: Saturday and Sunday, October 5 & 6, 2019
Time: 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Saturday; 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday
