The 21st annual Preferred Health Systems Wichita Open begins Thursday, August 5th, 2010.

Tickets to attend the Wichita Open are $12 each and include access to the grounds for one day, covered spectator seating at the 17th green, and three beverages (Miller, Pepsi, or Auquafina). Parking at the Target/World Market parking lot near K96 and 21st street will cost $5 beginning Wednesday.

Many activities leading up to the event are free and open to the public:

Monday and Tuesday, August 2nd and 3rd, come watch for FREE as the players practice at the Crestview Country Club course. Practice rounds will begin at approximately 9 a.m. and be ongoing throughout the two days.

Monday, August 2nd, 6 p.m. FREE The Scholfield Hyundai Shootout pairs 7 top local female golfers with the PGA players.

Tuesday, August 3, 5-6 p.m. FREE Junior Clinic at Crestview Country Club sponsored by INTRUST Bank. Kids ages 8 – 16 get to learn from the nationwide tour pros. No pre-registration is necessary. Meet at the scoreboard in front of the pro shop, with a putter and a 7-iron if possible (no golf bags). Call 219-9046 for more information. Crestview Country Club: 1000 E 127th St. North

Wednesday, August 4, tee-times at 7 a.m. and Noon  FREE The Cessna Pro-Am Tournament teams up pros and amateurs.
