The Assistance League of Wichita will open its annual Gingerbread Village on Friday, November 19, 2010 at 2 p.m. in a new location. This year’s event will take place at the Sedgwick County Extension Building at the corner of 21st Street West and Ridge Road.
I received notes from two readers within minutes of each other telling me that the Gingerbread Village has been a treasured family tradition over the years. (Thanks Susan and Cindy!) Families tour the professionally designed gingerbread houses on display and then get to make one of their own to take home.
Regular admission is $7, but advance tickets are $5 only until noon on Friday at the following locations:
Cambridge Market Merchants, 21st East and Webb Rd.
Assistance League Thrift Shop, 2611 E. Douglas
