Here’s one of my best tips for saving money on summer vacations: Check out the state and local tourism resources at your destination and pick up free travel guides. It seems obvious, but it’s often overlooked. Those organizations work hard to attract travelers, many times offering coupons or special discounts.
TravelKS has released its latest Kansas guide books and they’re as pretty as they are informative. They are also FREE for the asking.
I ordered the Kansas Travel Guide and map along with the Outdoor magazine and received them last week. These guides are great for planning short Kansas getaways and just for learning more about our state. (The pictures are beautiful, too.) Now the Kansas Byways guide is also available, in print or online.
Visit the TravelKS website to order your free print guides or access Byways of Kansas online.
