Sharing is caring!
Cast away the cares of the day and fish with your kids. G2G Outside will be at the Great Plains Nature Center for a free fishing clinic on Wednesday, August 3 from 6:30-8 p.m.
A cane pole and worms will be provided for participants. Parents will also get a demonstration on how to clean and cook what you catch.
Meet a little bit before 6:30 p.m. to join in the fun. Great Plains Nature Center is located 6232 E 29th St N. (near Woodlawn).
I’m guessing here, but an RSVP may be required to ensure that there’s enough fishing equipment to go around. Keep your eyes on the g2g Outside blog for the latest information. (Update: No mention of registering or RSVPing so far.)
g2gOutside (stands for Got to Go Outside) is a program initiated by the Sedgwick County Extension, funded by the Kansas Health Foundation and operating in partnership with the City of Wichita, the Department of Parks and Recreation, and several other local organizations.
g2g Outside meets at different outdoor locations to give families (moms and dads included) plenty of opportunities to explore the outdoors together. The events are open to all families. Learn more about the program and upcoming g2g Outside events by visiting the website.
