The Greater Wichita YMCA offers a program for older teens that can help them land a job, be an awesome employee, and manage the money they’ll begin making. Classes start Feb. 7, 2022 but enrollment meetings must be scheduled before Jan. 24, 2022.
The FREE program is funded by the Strong Communities campaign and will provide participants with training on how to complete a job application, dress for success, handle an interview, and manage money. Participants will also become CPR-AED and First Aid certified.
The program will be offered at two Wichita YMCA branches and six area high schools.
Teens must be age 15-17 to participate at either of the Y locations or age 16-17 to participate in the program held on campus at the local schools.
Students do not need to be Y members. In fact, if a student finishes the program and gets a summer job, they get a free YMCA membership for the summer!
Classes begin the week of February 7, 2022. Be sure to enroll before the January 24, 2022 deadline.
