Sharing is caring!

Kids and adults will be able to try out a variety of different boat types on a short float from the South Riverside Park boat dock to the big bend in the river and back. They’ll have canoes, kayaks, two-person sculls, paddle-boards, and inflatable boats to use. You can bring your own PFD or use one of theirs, but they will be required for everyone who wants to get out on the water.
It’s a good idea to bring a hat and sunglasses. You can even bring a picnic supper, along with a blanket or lawn chairs, if you like. A shared grill will be available to cook your hamburgers or hot dogs.
Waivers are required for all participants. You can download and fill out the adult waiver or the waiver for minors and bring it with you to the event.
Date: Thursday, August 4, 2011
Time: 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Location: South Riverside Park, 551 W. Central in Wichita, at the boat dock (See map.)

(Donation checks can be made payable to The Arkansas River Coalition, Inc.) Find out more about future Ark River Coalition floats at the website at www.arkrivercoalition.org.
