The Wichita Art Museum and the Tallgrass Film Association are teaming up again this year for a free night of music, film and fun.
This free event will be held outside in the museum’s amphitheater.
Tunes + Tallgrass on the Terrace happens on Friday, June 21. “Doors” open at 6:30 p.m. and live music from the Haymakers begins around 7 p.m., followed by the movie Moonrise Kingdom around 9 p.m.
“Moonrise Kingdom is the seventh film directed by two-time The Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Wes Anderson. Set on an island off the coast of New England in the summer of 1965, Moonrise Kingdom tells the story of two 12-year-olds who fall in love, make a secret pact, and run away together. As various authorities try to hunt them down, a violent storm is brewing offshore. The lazy idyll of a summer island community is turned upside down in every which way. Featuring actors Bruce Willis _, Edward Norton, Bill Murray, Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton, and Jason Schwartzman. “
Bring your lawn chairs and blankets for seating, a Frisbee if you like, and some cash for the food trucks and cash bar. Admission to Tunes + Tallgrass on the Terrace is FREE.
