The Kansas Astronomical Observers will be set up in the parking lot of the Great Plains Nature Center this Saturday evening. Join them to watch Saturn rise as the sun sets, and to observe Mars and the moon in the night sky.
This looks like a great opportunity to learn from people who know what they’re looking at when they look at the stars overhead. (And if Mom is a stargazer, this would be a good kickoff to Mothers Day.)
The Planetary Safari will held from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the parking lot of the GPNC. It’s free to attend and you don’t have to pre-register.
