Wichita is one of 22 cities around the country chosen to take part in “Good Food for All”, a 12-week produce distribution for low-income families sponsored by Partnership for a Healthier America.
Beginning this month, you can register in advance to receive a box of free produce for your family of three or more every week through mid-October.
Local organizations including the Health & Wellness Coalition of Wichita, Kansas Food Bank, Table of Hope, and the South YMCA are partnering with PHA to get the food to families.
The free produce boxes include 50 servings of fresh fruits and vegetables per week.
There are two distribution locations in Wichita – one is at the WSU Metroplex in northeast Wichita and the other is at the South Y on S. Meridian Street.
