Friends University and Senseney Music will team up again for the annual outdoor band concert on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 2 p.m.
This concert is a benefit for Youth Horizons. While there is no admission fee, a free-will offering will be collected during the concert to benefit the non-profit organization, so plan to bring some cash with you for that.
At the outdoor band concert, Friends University Concert Band will perform with the Senseney Community Band.
This year will be Dr. John Taylor’s last time directing the band at Friends University. He is retiring after 30 years, and they’ll have a reception for him in the Riney Fine Arts Gallery after the concert.
The concert will be held at the Rose Window Plaza, which is in front of the Davis Administration Building (the one with the clock tower) on the Friends campus. You’ll want to bring a lawn chair with you so you’ll have someplace to sit.
There are free parking lots to the north & south of Rose Window Plaza & street parking to the east. Here is a campus map.
Have you attended this concert before? Is there anything else we should bring or know about?
