On Friday, November 9, the Orpheum Theater in Wichita will be showing a FREE film screening of Harvesting the High Plains, a documentary about the early days of wheat-farming in Western Kansas and Eastern Colorado. The film, which was inspired by the research of Craig Miner, documents the challenges and eventual success of Ray Garvey and John Kriss in large-scale wheat production in the “Great American Desert.”
Harvesting the High Plains is narrated by Mike Rowe. The movie begins at 7 p.m.; doors open to the theater at 6:30 p.m.
