June 14
June 21
June 28
July 5
After each morning’s performance, stay for lunch from the local food trucks that will be parked at the Popup Park!
For more information, visit the Downtown Wichita event page here.
After lunch, take a stroll down Douglas – just a block east or west – to see if you can spot some of the fun bronze sculptures. Some are obvious, and some will require an eagle-eye! In particular, be sure to stop by Chester C. Lewis Reflection Square Park, which is just about one block east of the popup park. It features several fun bronze sculptures, including the Dockum Drugstore Sit-In, and a mini splash fountain kids can walk on and get their feet wet. (Wear flip-flops or sandals!)
Around the corner, you’ll find the Wichita-Sedgwick County Historical Museum. It’s the building with the clock tower, directly across the street from Wichita’s old downtown library. Admission to the museum is a bargain, and there’s lots of fun local history to explore in there – not to mention the building itself, which used to be City Hall.
The Popup Park also hosts free summer movies!
